Part 3 of 3:
This interactive webinar program will both continue the work we began during a Pathways session at JMR27 and provide an open invitation to begin this work for those who were not there. We will first present an overview of Reb Zalman’s approach to eldering as presented in his book Ageing to Sage-ing. In short, it’s a process in which we do various kinds of emotional and spiritual work to be able to move into elderhood in our fullness and with the ability to serve as an elder in our community and in the wider world.
We will focus on the process of forgiving - others and ourselves. We will lead participants in some processes to cultivate forgiveness and do some “sharing and harvesting” from these experiences. We’ll also be introduced to Reb Zalman’s Bedtime Prayer of Forgiveness. Towards the end we will discuss where we may go from here - e.g. follow-up sessions – and if so, on what topics and how often, etc. There’s plenty of good work for us to do and robust resources available for us to draw upon.
Note about recording: Menschwork will only record the initial, introductory portion of the webinar. The "sharing and harvesting" portion is intended to respect participant confidentiality and will not be recorded by Menschwork. We request that all participants respect the desire for a frank and candid communication among all involved.
